Bella Hunter is a 28-year-old beauty expert who also works as a columnist for the hip Enchante magazine. Suddenly, she finds herself out of a job when a random comment that she makes to a reporter is taken totally out of context.
While Bella was once the authority on all things fashion and beauty, she’s now forced to take a lowly job at Womanly World, a magazine only read by ancient women nearing their 60s. Bella now has to answer to a dowdy beauty director each and every day. And on top of that, she’s butting heads with her male publisher – who would definitely have love interest potential if he wasn’t so difficult to get along with.
How is Bella going to adjust to her new (subpar) lifestyle when it comes to facing her friends and ex-colleagues for the first time? In the story, we’ll meet Bella’s three catty best friends and her egotistical supermodel boyfriend as Bella vows to keep her head up and fight the good fight “one bad makeover at a time”.
If you’re a lover of makeup, fashion, and chick lit, then this may be the perfect combination of all three to keep on your bookshelf. But if you’re not… you may have a hard time wading through all of the beauty/fashion industry jargon used throughout the book.
