Just as Lucy buckles her seatbelt to begin a 24 hour flight to Australia, she sees a text message from a woman who says that she slept with her boyfriend James not once, but four times over the past month. Lucy is trapped on her international flight and doesn’t have the opportunity to find out the answer to what is really going on in her relationship. She starts to question everything about the one she loves.
When Lucy finally is able to call James, he tells her that it was just a friend playing a joke. But James is successful, gorgeous, and charming, and Lucy can’t stop worrying about him as she attends her best friend Molly’s wedding in Sydney. Even worse, she can’t keep her eyes off of Molly’s handsome brother-in-law Nathan. Nathan is a carefree surfer type with no home, no job, and a semi-girlfriend on his arm.
Lucy finds herself caught between two drastically different men on two different continents.
Toon’s style and humor offer a fresh take to the chick lit genre. In fact, her humor and wit may remind you of another all-time favorite chick lit author, Sophie Kinsella. The book is a fun, easy read and great to curl up with by the fire or at the beach.
