School for Husbands by Wendy Holden Review

Wendy Holden is an internationally best-selling author of such fun chick lit reads as The Wives of Bath and Simply Divine. Wendy does it again with her entertaining and humorous approach in School for Husbands, the ideal chick lit read that many couples can identify with after having their first baby. We are all familiar with the age old story of the woman having a baby, caring for the baby, cooking, cleaning, and the like… All while she still has to manage her career!

Neil and Sarah are the perfect couple. That is, until Neil becomes so consumed with his new job that he leaves Sarah by herself to deal with a new baby, domestic boredom, and attempting to manage her own career. When Neil fails to come home one night, Sarah runs off to the comfort of her mother. The catch is that her mother has always wished that Sarah would have married her childhood sweetheart instead of Neil, a rich and successful lawyer named Colin. As luck would have it, Colin has reappeared in Sarah’s life after all of these years.

Just when it seems that they’re heading for divorce, Neil decides to take action. He realizes how horrible he has been to Sarah and decides to enroll in a controversial School for Husbands to help get his life back on track.  Will this finally give Neil the help he needs to connect with Sarah emotionally and get rid of his bad habits, like leaving the toilet seat up? You’ll have to read on and find out…
