More than anything, Madeleine-Cora values her privacy. Which is why she’s the last person you would ever expect to star on a reality TV show, until she’s shunned by the new wife of a friend for being a “desperate single woman”.
Madeleine-Cora’s utter humiliation causes her to lower her standards enough to submit her application to the “Find Your Prince” reality TV dating show website. But Madeleine-Cora’s no fool. She arrives at the show armed with a game plan and some date-worthy outfits to help her potentially meet the love of her life. That is, until she’s dumped on a remote island with seven of her ex-boyfriends! Could anything be worse than that?
Readers will appreciate the compelling, funny dialogue in this book with a humorous, cringe-worthy plot and genuine characters. If you’ve ever wondered what hell on earth was like, it may be the premise of this reality TV setup, where you’re forced to confront the ghosts of your past on a deserted island.
While most readers loved the plot, even if they weren’t fans of reality TV, critics of the book said that it could be sappy at times, especially as Madeleine-Cora delves into the drama with each of her exes.
